School is in session, which means the lazy days of summer are officially past us. Someone obviously forgot to tell the thermometer, though, because it’s still cranking out temperatures that are beyond reasonable. And so we find ourselves in a serious state of pre-fall yearning. Our favorite stores and fashion magazines are telling us it’s time to put away the sandals and slip on those boots, but the mercury decidedly disagrees. Well, today we forget the weather and look ahead to the crisp days of autumn, with its changing leaves (maybe not so much in Arizona, but … ) and apple-cider sipping moments. How great will it feel to ease a pair of riding boots over your skinny cords, throw a scarf around your neck and head out the door, without fear of heat exhaustion? Soon enough, my friends, soon enough.
